Try root pruning to encourage late season tomatoes to ripen by taking….

A large carving knife and cutting a semicircle around the plant, 2” from stem of plant, about 8” deep. This cuts some, but not all of the root system enough to shock into forcing plant's final strength into ripening its fruit. Only do this near end of season.
