Sheets of newspaper into a thick strip and wrap it around your prickly plant. Then, simply lift the cactus from its current pot and place it into the new one. Or, use kitchen tongs that have been wrapped in paper towels secured in place by either rubber bands or twist ties. Your hands and cacti will thank you for it!
