Rolling it out, water thoroughly. Daily watering keeps the sod moist until roots have grown into soil. Apply enough water so soil underneath sod gets wet. Good rooting usually takes 2-3 weeks. Once sod is established, watering can be reduced to once a week or less, depending on when the grass begins to dry out.
