Young as a larvae. Adults are similar to beetles but have a short snout. Each weevil is 1/3-1/2” long, black and covered with short hairs that create a matt, dull appearance. Larvae are fat, legless and creamy-white, the head brown with mouth parts adapted for chewing roots. Invariably, larvae are seen in a semi-curled manner.
