Foot deep. Pile dirt to one side. Plant seeds about 8” apart. Cover lightly with soil. When stalks are pencil thick, mound dirt around base to hide from light. As they grow, keep adding dirt until ready to harvest. Keep dirt loose. Leave a bit of crown showing or plant will die. Should be ready for harvest by late summer.
