Indoors and out. It's slightly sweeter taste is much more palatable to many than its relative, oregano. A necessary ingredient in any lamb dish. Also used in Italian foods. Try a sprig in your  spaghetti sauce. As a medicinal tea, it soothes an upset stomach. Also has anti-microbial properties and can be used as a skin wash.
