Add into the soil at planting time a high-phosphorus fertilizer. Use 1 quart to every 100 square feet of an 8-16-16 or a 6-8-8 or anything similar to those ratios that is being sold as superphosphate fertilizer. Work into the top 4-6” inches of soil.
