Dormant. A gargage works if it doesn’t get much below freezing. Trim back plant to protect crown and roots. Use straw/mulch on top of plant for additional protection. Wrap container with some kind of insulation (bubble wrap, plastic) to keep roots from cold damage. Check on it periodically during winter. Give it just enough water to keep roots moist.
