20 Ways to Cut Costs on your Wedding

Wedding planning can be stressful and expensive.  Here are 25 ways that you can cut costs DRAMATICALLY and still have the perfect wedding!

1. Cut the guest list.  You will save thousands on invitations, favors, and catering.  Plus, you will be so busy on your wedding day, you will not remember if you saw your kindergarten best friend that you have not seen in 10 years.
2. Plan your wedding during the off season.  There is a less of a demand for catering, and you may be able to strike a deal.
3. Do not have a Saturday wedding.  Saturday is prime time for weddings.  Consider having your wedding on a Friday night or Sunday.
4. Have a morning wedding.  This will also cut out a lot of reception costs (less alcohol)
5. Shop for decor after holidays.  Stock up on reds and greens after Christmas, pink after Valentine's Day.
6. Use non floral as decor (candles, lanterns, etc.)
7. Get larger tables - less centerpieces to purchase.
8. Stick to one or two flowers.  Incorporating multiple varieties adds up.
9. Make sure your flowers are in season and readily available during the time of your wedding.
