Temperature of 65-70°. Check neck for ripeness. Apply gentle pressure to stem end of pear with thumb. When it yields to pressure, it's ready to eat (usually takes a few days depending upon variety, some may take a few weeks). For storage, keep fruit at a high humidity and near freezing. Length of storage varies with each different cultivar.
