Simple Bedside Pillowcase Pocket

I found that making a pocket for the side of your bed is the perfect way to keep nighttime items at hand. All you need is a spare pillow case, scissors and a sewing machine or thread and needle.

• Fold the pillow case in half and use pencil or chalk to lightly trace the center of the crease line, leaving an even space at both ends of the pillow case. 
• On this line, cut one side of the pillow case open.
• Hem the slit’s edge with a sewing machine or needle and threat.
• Sew the end of the pillow case closed.
• Tuck the sewed end of the pillow case under your mattress so that the slit you cut and hemmed is facing out. 
• Place your bedside items in the open slit. 

Your new bedside pocket is now there to hold a bottle of water, tissue, cough medicine, a book, magazine or your glasses right next to you all night long. Enjoy!
