Choose a paint color based on the color scheme you choose for your bathroom. This depends on the mood you want to create for your bathroom and what will look best with the flooring. Use earth tones for a warm and cozy feel (mocha brown, forest green) or brighter colors for a livelier mood (yellow, sea foam). Try to save the liveliest colors for your accessories to avoid making your bathroom look too busy with color.
Install mirrored cabinets to one of the walls in your bathroom. This will help smaller bathrooms to appear much roomier. You can also color wash your existing wood cabinets with colored wood stain. Use colors that accent the wall paint or suit the color scheme of your bathroom accessories. Create contrast by applying brighter colors for the drawers and neutral colors for the background.
