Drill drainage holes in the bottom. Fill can with 6” of soil and stick in the seed potatoes. Top them off with 3” of mulch or soil. When leaves appear and the seedlings are 6” high, add another layer of soil. Continue this until can is full of soil. Lay can on its side and shake to harvest your crop.
