Wrap young trees with at least two feet of stretchy….

Waterproof paper (sold as tree wrap) when temperatures get near freezing. This moderates daily temperature extremes. Do not wrap trees too early because it inhibits the photosynthesis process and can rob plants of needed nutrients. Remove tree wrap in early to mid-spring.
