Steer clear of plastic bristles. Natural boar bristles on either a round or flat brush are best for dry hair, and soft rubber bristles are best for wet hair.
Check your water - if its hard, you may need to change shampoos or add other supplements.
Mist ends with water before home coloring - this will keep your hair color even, as wet hair will not absorb as much color as dry hair.
Trim split ends regularly.
Use color protective products - keep your color longer to avoid fading and dulling.
Deep condition every two weeks. This stengthens strands and keeps hair looking moist, shiny and smooth. Heat from your hair dryer can blow out and damage hair.
