Frost. Soak roots in warm water for 2 hours. Place crowns 6-8" deep in furrows, spreading the root in all directions. Place crowns 12" apart in rows 48" apart. Cover crowns with 2” of soil. Gradually add back more soil through the season as plants develop. Do not cover tips of the spears. Do not harvest during first year.
