Last frost. Spinach goes to seed when daytime temperatures average 90°. Seeds should be scattered thinly on soil surface and covered with 1/2" layer of soil, sand or soft potting mixture. As the young plants reach 1-2” tall, thin out to avoid developing a strong flavor. Use a rake for first time thinning.
