3-5" per plant. Turnips are very prone to damage from root maggots so use treated seed or treat soil if a problem exists. When planting in beds, plant turnips thinly and cover with about 1/2" of soil. Thin to 3-5" per plant. When planting in containers, allow 1-2" between each plant.
