Planting a leaf. They are called whole-leaf or petiole cuttings. Just remove a leaf, making sure you have up to an inch and a half of the petiole, or stalk, of the leaf. Stick the leaf into moist rooting medium until the blade just touches the surface. When new growth is obvious, transfer the plant gently into another pot.
