The heavy duty electric stapler is an essential tool in basic carpentry, construction, and upholstery work. Here are some tips on using your heavy duty electric stapler:

  • Work Area

Make sure your work area is well lit and clear of any obstructions that might make your work area unsafe. Take small children or any pets out of your work area to ensure their safety while you are using the stapler.

  • Examine

Unplug the stapler. Set it on your worktable and examine the tool to see if there are any cracks or broken pieces on the outside. Fix any broken pieces on the stapler before you use it. Also examine the stapler to see where the staples shoot out of the stapler. It’s important to know this when aiming your stapler at your work piece. It will also allow you to keep any unwanted objects away from you stapling area (like your fingers)!

  • Load

Find the release button to open up the magazine. Place heavy duty staples upside-down into the magazine. Push the magazine closed and make sure it locks into place. Note: If you are installing brads or nails into the stapler, the stapler will usually indicate the side of the magazine they need to be placed.

  • Turn On

Flip the safety on (usually near the trigger) before you plug the stapler in. Plug the stapler in, press it against the work piece, and release the safety. Double check the work piece to make sure it is tightly secured in the vice.

  • Staple

Firmly hold the stapler against the area of the work piece you want to staple and pull the trigger. Hold the stapler flush with the work piece to make sure the staples shoot into the piece straight. Press the palm of your other hand against the end of the stapler if you want to shoot the staples even deeper into the work piece.

  • Clear Jams

Electric staplers sometimes get jammed. When this happens, turn the safety on and unplug the stapler. Open the magazine and clear all of the staples. Examine the magazine and find where the jam is located. Take a screw or nail and remove the obstruction. Reload the magazine and plug in the stapler. Turn the safety off and shoot the stapler into a secured piece of wood to ensure that it is working correctly.
