Meat scraps, bones or fat - they attract rodents and other pests; diseased plant debris - they can spread garden diseases; pesticide treated plants or wood - they may kill beneficial organisms; noxious weeds or weeds that have set seed - they can spread into the garden; charcoal ashes are much too alkaline and pet droppings often contain parasites.
