Clay and unglazed terra cotta pots. Even though they are breakable, hard to store and can be heavy, they provide good weight for stability for larger plants. They are a very porous and breathable material and allow good air and moisture movement through the sides of the container. They do tend to dry out a bit faster than plastic.
