Planning fun games for your Halloween party will make party-hoppers want to stay at your place for the rest of the night. Here are some suggestions for the best Halloween party games for all ages:
Having a costume contest is great because it encourages your guests to arrive the best and most creative costume they can come up with. Set out sheets of paper and an empty vase so people can put in nominations during the night. At a latter point in the evening, count the nominations and announce the top three vote getters to the party. Have everyone vote for the best costume by cheering for his or her favorite. Give a small prize to the nominees and a grand prize to the winner.
Divide people into teams of 3 or 4 and give them a list of costumes to find worn out on the street. If you can get enough cameras available, give a camera to each team and have them get video of each costume type on their list. Award the team that arrives first with all of the items on video with a prize. Play all of the videos for your guests. They will very much enjoy watching clips of all the crazy costumes worn by people out on the street.
Get ten 2-Liter bottles and spray paint them white. Draw eyes and round mouths on the bottles to make them look like ghosts. Set the “ghosts” like bowling pins on a concrete patio or on gravel. Get a medium/small sized round pumpkin that you can use as a bowling ball. Hand out prizes to guest who can get a strike or set up two teams and play a proper bowling set (keeping score and everything).
Play charades involving all things to do with Halloween. Charades is a great choice for a party game because people can both participate and watch. It is safe to say that everyone will get a huge kick out of watching each other act out Halloween characters like mummies, werewolves, jack-o-lanterns, and witches.
