Tear a head of lettuce into bite-size pieces and wash and dry them in a salad spinner (a good cheap investment). Dice carrots, sweet peppers, radishes, raw spinach, etc., then wrap the pieces in paper towels and store them in perforated self-sealing plastic bags. Build your ready-made salad to your liking!
