Fire safety products

Every household should be equipped with all the necessary fire safety products to stop fires from destroying most valuable possessions.

Here are a few fire safety products that you should have in your house:

• Smoke detectors. Every household is required to have smoke detectors in every room and closet. In the event of fire, smoke detectors produce a noisy sound alarming everyone in the house that there is a damager of fire. There are two smoke alarm types: Ionization detectors – fast detection of fast growing fire by producing rapid sound alarm, and photoelectric detectors – detecting smoldering and smoky fires. The USFA recommends installation of both types for better fire prevention. 
• Fire extinguishers. Fire extinguisher is a fire safety product that is intended for putting out small fires that are not endangering a user. Every household should have at least one fire extinguisher. Every apartment, condo, or office property is required to have one. There are two types of fire extinguishers: stored pressure and cartridge-operated.    
• Fire extinguishing spray. Fire extinguishing spray is very similar to fire extinguisher in operation. It is small and effective fire safety tool. The main purpose is to prevent 30 second fire expansions. It works great for putting out small fires caused by burning papers, fabric, cooking oils, and wood. Fire extinguishing spray is very easy to use – just point and spray.  
• Fire proof safety boxes. It is recommended that every household possesses at least one fire proof safety box in order to protect the most valuable possessions. Boxes come in different sizes. Before buying one, you should think about what kind of valuables you want to keep in it in case of fire. Make sure to measure the inside dimensions as the wall of safety boxes are very thick.
• Fireproof bags. Fireproof bags are excellent fire safety product to safe the most important possessions or documents.
