The world is before you after graduation – as is, chances are, your student debt.
Form your resume. A basic next step for anything you plan to do after graduation.
Find a home. Where are you going to live? You can probably live with family or room with friends until you decide what your next course of action, whether it's a job, volunteer work, travel, or more schooling.
Volunteer. Apply to the Peace Corps, or to AmeriCorps, or become a WWOOFer (www.wwoof.org).
Intern. Apply for entry-level jobs and internships in your field of interest: check out publishing companies, theater groups, corporate businesses, educational institutions, historical organizations, etc.
Travel. This can be combined with volunteering or interning. One option is to work as an au pair overseas and learn a different language at the same time. You can also get together with a friend and hike across Europe or the USA.
Military. Serve your country by joining a branch of the military. Check out Military.com to see if serving in the armed forces is right for you; you can also look up your local recruitors.
Graduate school. If you are interested in graduate school, start applying. If you are accepted, then you can decide if graduate school is right for you. You may want to take a year off from studying and spend some time in the real world – and perhaps earn a little money for a change.
Pay off your debts. Live frugally and pay off your debts as soon as possible; you don't want interest to build up and inhibit you from future plans and goals.
