An inexpensive and easy way to clean your steam iron when it no longer steams is to fill it with a mixture of three fourths cup vinegar and one fourth cup water. Pour mixture into iron and turn to steam setting; let stand a few minutes until the holes are steamed open. Rinse iron well before filling for pressing.
