No matter the foreign country in which you hope to study, you will need to gather the general student visa requirements before you can apply.
Valid Passport
A passport issued from your home country that is valid for at least 6 months after the time in which you plan to leave the foreign country. You cannot be issued a student visa without a valid passport. If you are attending a shorter program and do not require a student visa, you are still required to hold a valid passport.
Acceptance Letter
You have to have been accepted into a school in the foreign country first before you can apply for a student visa there. The school will send you a specific form stating that they have accepted you into the program and that they are legally providing a nonimmigrant full time student position for you within the country. Every country’s guidelines for acceptance letters are different and they go by different names. Check their official website for specific information about their acceptance letter requirements. The school in which you apply should know how to handle processing student visas for their international students and should be able to help you through the process.
Financial Support
It is within general student visa requirements that before a country will issue you a visa they have to see evidence that you will be able to sustain yourself economically while behind their borders. Often this is simply proof that you have funds to return home once your studies are over and enough money to pay tuition, room and board. You can prove this with bank statements or letters of support from parents or sponsors. Again, every country is different in specifics so make sure to check specific requirements in relation to you and the country you will be studying in.
