Nail fungus can be cured with a simple fungal nail infection treatment. Follow these 4 simple tips and you will be fungal free in no time!
Cut your nails short
Cut your nails as short as possible. Continue to cut them every week to make sure that no white nail protrudes from the tips of your fingers or toes. This in a sense starves the fungus growing under your nails because it is easier to keep the area clean and dry.
File your nails down!
Nail fungus causes nails to grow thicker and become disfigured. File them down with a metal nail file. This not only improves the look of your fingernails, but also removes some of the fungus and makes it easier for your nails to absorb treatments you will be putting on your nails.
Wash with antibacterial soap
Wash your hands and feet with antibacterial soap and warm water. The cleaner your nails, the faster nail fungus will die due to lack of an environment to grow and thrive. The antibacterial in the soap also helps to kill off fungus.
Tea Tree Oil
Use a Q-tip to apply essential tea tree oil to all of your nails 2-3 times a day. Make sure to cover the entire nail with tea tree oil - rub the oil on the cuticles, the tips of the nail and along the side of the nail bed as well.
Tea tree oil is natural, safe and effective. It coats the skin and nail to prevent any more fungus growth while simultaneously attacking the fungi as an antifungal. The treatment should take a few weeks to clear up the infection completely, sometimes longer depending on the severity of your fungal nail infection.
