You can make an all-purpose cleaning product that is non-toxic out of the following ingredients into a spray bottle: water, white vinegar, and dish soap. Mix one part of water, one part white vinegar, and add a couple squirts of dish soap. This mixture will be effective on most surfaces and clean moderate kitchen/bathroom messes. You can also add a few drops of essential oils to make a scented cleaner (peppermint, lavender, or chamomile are good options).
There is a safe option for cleaning the tough stains in your bathtub, oven, and refrigerator. Mix ½ cup of baking soda with ½ cup of salt into a large Tupperware bowl. Pour in ½ cup of vinegar slowly so it doesn’t bubble over. Mix them all together until it forms into a thick paste. Use this mixture with a scour-pad to remove hard stains.
Safe glass cleaner is the easiest non-toxic option to use. Simply wipe rubbing alcohol on the glass and clean it off with a newspaper or paper towel. This will give your glass a great streak-free cleaning.
To remove ugly food/drink stains from your carpet, mix a 30/70 ratio of peroxide and water respectively. Peroxide is a bleach, so make sure to test the mixture first for colorfastness. For pet stains, you can add ½ teaspoon of baking soda in the mixture to effectively remove odor from your carpet.
