What are Ways to Lighten Teeth Naturally

White teeth make for a beautiful smile. Forget expensive teeth whitening strips and trays, instead  lighten teeth naturally. Just follow these tips:

Drink responsibly!

  1. Limit your intake of dark dyed drinks like coffee, tea and red wine. These drinks stain your tooth enamel. When you do drink these liquids, use a straw to limit your teeth's exposure to the liquids.

Brush your teeth!

  1. The best thing you can do to lighten teeth naturally is to regularly brush them.   Food and plaque build up on your teeth and create stains if left for long periods of time. Brush for at least 1 1/2 minutes (sing the ABC song in your head 2 times) in order to make sure you clean all surfaces of your teeth.
  2.

  3. Floss your teeth every night before bed.  Brush after flossing to remove all food particles and bacteria from your mouth. Flossing dislodges food stuck between your teeth that can cause stains, while brushes afterwards is what removes food particles from your mouth entirely.
  4.

  5. Brush after every time you eat.  Take a travel toothbrush with you where ever you go and a travel size toothpaste so you can brush whenever you eat.  You don't need to make a big deal about it, simply excuse yourself to the restroom - brush - and return. This also can ensure that you don't have embarrassing food stuck in your teeth.
  6.

  7. Put baking soda on your toothbrush and brush your teeth. While not incredibly tasty, brushing with baking soda is the most natural and effective way to clean and whiten your teeth.  Baking soda naturally kills bacteria which causes plaque and reduces damage to tooth enamel.
  8.

  9. Mix lemon juice and salt until you form a paste. Brush with this paste to naturally remove stains from your teeth. Brush with plain water afterward and rinse your mouth thoroughly.
  10.
