What to Pack for a Weekend Getaway (Summer and Winter)

How many times to you over pack for just two or three nights away from home?  I know I do.  And I even though I over pack, I always seem to still pack the wrong things and I have nothing to wear.  Here are a few tips on what you should pack for you next weekend away from home.

Summer Trips:

  • Trench coat
  • Long sleeved T shirt
  • Two t-shirts, one white, one black
  • Your favorite jeans
  • Denim Shorts or Mini skirt
  • Khakis or Cargos
  • Sweat Suit
  • Cocktail Dress
  • Thin Cashmere Sweater
  • Windbreaker
  • Bikini and cover up
  • Undergarments
  • Medium sized tote
  • Strappy sandals and sneakers

Winter Trips:

  • Long wool coat
  • Faux Fur vest
  • Two super warm sweaters (cream and black)
  • Cashmere sweater
  • Wool pants
  • Your favorite jeans
  • Bikini (in case there is a hot tub!)
  • Undergarments
  • Scarf, hat, gloves
  • Medium tote
  • Boots (weatherproof)
  • Apres-snow slippers
  • Ski gear (if you are going skiing)
