The web has made it possible to easily find an abundance of quotes on practically every subject imaginable. This article lists some of those web sites, along with some of my own favorite sites.

A relevant quote can be an excellent icebreaker for several types of endeavors: speeches, toasts, research papers, blogs, websites, and articles like this one. Quotes can also inspire our feelings about love, life, death, and faith. They can make us laugh and they can make us angry. They’re great to read on a rainy day. Check out the following sites.

- http://www.bartleby.com/quotations has an extensive listing of Bartlett’s quotations, mostly pre-20th century.
- http://en.wikiquote.org/wiki/Main_Page includes pages for people, films, TV shows and more.
- http://www.wisdomquotes.com contains a huge amount of categories from which to choose.
- http://www.thinkexist.com has over 300,000 quotes by over 20,000 authors.
