Baking soda works well to neutralize acid type soil. Cover the acid based ground with baking soda for an effective neutralizer.

In 2010, I was told to sprinkle baking
soda on a small pesky weed that was
choking what little grass I had left.
In 2011,I can report the pesky weed is
gone, and in it's place? Grass! Grass
everywhere! I had no idea there was a
problem with acidic soil. Thanks to a
little"0" pesky weed and about ten bags
of "Arm and Hammer" I have something to
mow.
