Inexpensive, plastic-covered structures work fine as a greenhouse

Although glass-covered greenhouses are excellent, they are much more expensive to construct and require more fuel for heating. Plastic-covered greenhouses are less expensive than glass-covered, but they have to be re-covered periodically as the plastic film wears out. Use of a 3-year greenhouse film with ultraviolet (UV) inhibitor is recommended.
