Frizzy, flat and fried hair can often be the curse of modern day hair products and styling trends. Damaged hair can be frustrating to manage and time consuming and expensive to fix. Keep your locks soft, vibrant, and healthy with these quick hair care tips that I learned from my stylist.

I have found that brushing my hair breaks the strands and causes frizz and split ends. Instead of a brush, use a moisturizing conditioner in your hair to break up any knots that may form while washing. Then use a comb to gently detangle while your hair is still wet.
- Protect against the sun and heat styling.
Use a cream or spray styling product that protects your hair from the sun’s UVB rays and heat from your hair dryer, curling iron and straitener. The sun and heat dry out, bleach and break your hair leaving it drab, frizzy and coarse.
You apply the product when your hair is still wet before you blow dry. If you have a spray you can retouch if you are headed to the beach or pool. Many of these products also work as detangler which lessens the amount of breakage from combing.
- Use proper shampoo and conditioner.
Wash and rinse your hair with shampoos and conditioners that are salon approved, full of moisturizers and preferably protect against UVB rays. Remember to use a color safe shampoo and conditioner if your hair is color treated. Otherwise washing and rinsing can strip your hair of its color and leave your locks faded and damaged looking.
