Watering your plants while you’re away

Place a water basin next to the flowerpot. Make a ‘wick’ out of old cotton material (fold and stitch together to the size and thickness of a lamp wick). Put one end in the water and bury the other end in the dirt in the pot. The plant will be fed steadily with water for a few days.
