Before applying any of the following toenail fungus treatments you should wash your feet with soap and warm water and thoroughly dry them. Keeping your feet clean and dry helps to treat and prevent toenail fungus.
Vicks Vapo-Rub
The menthol, eucalyptus and camphor in Vick's Vapo-Rub work together as effective antifungal. Slather Vicks Vapo-Rub on the infected toenails, the cuticle and as much of the bottom of the nail as possible. Spread it all over your toes and feet as well.
Olive Leaf Extract -
To cure toenail fungus you should take three 500 mg olive leave extract pills a day, one with every meal.
Distilled White Vinegar -
Applying white vinegar to your toenails with Q-tips is one of the cheapest methods of curing toenail fungus.
Coconut Oil -
This antifungal can be used to kill toenail fungus internally and externally. Apply the extract to your nails with a Q-tip in the morning and at night. In addition, take 4 tablespoons of coconut oil a day - one at every meal and one at bedtime.
Lavender Essential Oil –
One drop of lavender oil every morning and evening cures toenail fungus within a few weeks.
Tea Tree Oil –
This essential oil forms a chemical barrier on the skin helping to destroy fungi. It works as a natural antibiotic and antifungal. Use tea tree oil for 3 -4 weeks, applying with a Q-tip in the morning and evening.
Fulvicin –
An oral drug that prevents toenail fungus from spreading, Fulvicin must be prescribed by a doctor.
