Start of the new year (or month, week) with setting the goal to be more productive. Getting more done with less will help relieve stress and will also help you appear to be more of a hard worker come raise/promotion time.
Create a list called "follow up" - when someone asks you do do something, add it to the list with a timeline. Schedule a certain time of each day (or week) to provide action to these follow ups.
Turn off your email. Access Outlook only a few times each day - do not become a slave to email. Add an out of office message stating that you are limited access to email during the day.
Try to avoid waiting on paper - do as much as you can electronically. Time saving, cost saving and eco-friendly!
