Winter clothes. Warm but attractive winter clothes are especially appreciated in the northlands.
Personalized cookies. Cookies seem too ubiquitous at Christmas, but make yours with a twist: use frosting to write the names of your giftees on each large cookie, or decorate each batch according to a theme. Use cowboy cookie cutters to make hats, boots, and horse shapes for the cowboy in your circle of friends. For the female shopping addict, cut out purses, heels, and cocktail glasses.
Scrapbook. Put together a web of memories from the recent summer or fall, to remember during the holidays and through the rest of the winter.
Merry mugs. Fill a mug with cocoa mix and marshmallows, or mulled cider spices and cinnamon sticks.
Ornaments. These can decorate the tree or simply hang around the house. Make a photo ornament or get a souvenir ornament that brings back special memories.
