Besides embarrassing white flakes and scaly dandruff, dry scalp can be annoyingly itchy and uncomfortable. Find out what is the best treatment for dry scalp by reading the tips below.

Rinse with Vinegar. After washing your hair normally, rinse your scalp with vinegar. Vinegar is a natural antibacterial antiseptic and actively removes dry skin and scales from your scalp and unclogs hair follicles which can stop dandruff.  Rinse with a mixture of diluted vinegar by mixing 1 tablespoon vinegar to every 1 cup of water.

Massage in Olive Oil. By reintroducing natural oil to your scalp by using olive oil you essential rehydrate the dry skin and eliminate dry scalp. Massage 100% pure, organic olive oil into your scalp with your fingertips for 10 minutes. Massaging your head also helps to increase blood circulation in your scalp and release built up toxins, triggering your scalp to release its own natural oils. Make sure to rinse with water after massing with olive oil rather than with hot water, since hot water dehydrates your skin and can worsen dry scalp.

Change your Diet. Dry scalp can be caused by deficiencies in vitamins B, C and E. Take a daily multivitamin that provides your body with these essential nutrients if you fear you are not getting them in your daily diet.
