Productive time management skills are desired by all and possessed by only a few. There is nothing more frustrating like feeling like you can't get done what you need to. I have come across 5 effective time management ideas that will help you finish your to do list.

Prepare for the next day
Simply taking 15 minutes at the end of every day to prepare for the next day does wonders in helping you get your day started. I usually save about 2 hours when I prepare for the day the night before
Cut out distractions
Set aside 2 hours a day where you are not distracted by anything to get things done. Unplug the television, disconnect the internet and turn off your phone. Sometimes it takes eliminating distractions in order for you to accomplish what you need to. You will be surprised how much you get done.
Don't overwhelm yourself
Don't set unrealistic goals for yourself. There are only 24 hours in every day, and for at least 8 of those you should be sleeping. If you cannot accomplish what you need to in the allotted time, you are trying to tackle too much and should eliminate some things from your life.
Prioritize and conquer
Divide the things you need to do into separate lists. Make a list of that which needs to be done ASAP, this week, this month and this year. Make a list of things that other people can do instead of you, and delegate your tasks. Go through your lists and see if there is anything that doesn’t need to be done at all. Are you filling your time with time wasters?
Use the tools
Take advantage of agendas and day timers and to do lists. It always helps me to have a cute planner to work out of. Do whatever works best for you. Make lists of what you need to get done and cross them off or check the box when you've finished it. That little stroke of pen can feel so good!
