Great Gifts for your Boyfriend

Buying gifts for the man in my life is very stressful.  Here are a few tips, based upon the stage of your relationship, for gifts for your significant other.

One to Three Months:

• Don't engrave or monogram any gift for a guy you've been dating for less than a year.
• Don't spend more than $100 on a present for a guy you have been dating for less than tree months.
• Give him something disposable that he cannot ponder the meaning of back at home. 
• Take him out to dinner at a hip, mid-priced restaurant

Three to Six Months:

• A book on a topic you know that interests him
• A box set of his favorite music
• A DVD from his choice director
• A box of cigars for his poker night
• Pilsner glasses for a beer drinker

Six Months to One Year:

• A photograph of the two of your in a masculine frame
• A cashmere sweater or scarf
• A nice bottle of scotch, bourbon or wine (or his choice)
• Tickets to a sporting event or concert
• Leather wallet (or small leather goods)

One to Two Years:

• A wine-tasting course
• A ski or beach weekend away, your treat
• Golf of dancing lessons for the two of you

Two to Four Years:

• A watch
• A carry-all or briefcase
• Digital Camera
• Electronics

Five Years +

• Grill and accessories
• Tickets for a trip away with his buddies
• Paid for tee time at his favorite golf course
• Skydriving/race-car driving/sailing lessons
