Need more money for your school? Need extra cash to back the junior-senior banquet or to fund your team? Check out these ideas.
Car wash. Make car wash signs and set up in the school parking lot, or at an open lot downtown. Signify on the signs that it is a school fundraiser; people will be more likely to stop.
Sell school paraphernalia. Go door-to-door and sell pens, caps, and sweaters with your school’s logo on them.
Sell candy and baked goods at home games. Make fundraising signs; ask if you can advertise concessions during halftime.
Sell baked goods, etc., at community events. Make a sign that makes it clear that you are fundraising for school, and set up a booth at local craft fairs and such.
Host a dance in the school gym. Charge a small entrance fee – say a couple dollars per person – and invite all ages to attend.
Hold a fun run. Charge an admission fee and have a running event around the track, or ask neighborhood officials permission to set up a course around the neighborhood.
Present a musical performance. Sign up talented musicians from your school, and put together a musical variety show. Advertise in the local papers.
Present an evening of drama. Have the school drama team put together a series of dramatic and comedic sketches, and invite the community to attend.
Host a karaoke night. The school gym may be a good place for this. Talk with school officials for regulation guidelines.
