With literally thousands upon thousands of weight loss methods and fads available, it can be overwhelming to know what is the best way to diet. I have found a fool-proof method to dropping pounds, losing inches and looking and feeling your best – simply follow the tips below.
Don't starve yourself. Avoid yo-yo diets and any weight loss plan that severely restricts calorie consumption. Never refuse your body the nourishment it needs, as this will starve and malnourish you. Refusing your body the necessary calories needed to function causes your metabolism to slow and your body to begin slowly digesting itself. If allowed to continue for a long enough period of time, starvation can cause irreversible damage to your body.
Eat a little, a lot. Eat 6 to 8 small meals a day rather than 3 large meals. Spread your meals out 2 to 3 hours apart. This keeps your metabolism going all day long and keeps your stomach small, so you feel full sooner.
Eat your fruits and veggies. Fruits and vegetables contain the vitamins and minerals your body needs to stay healthy, boost your metabolism, and loose weight. Chowing down on fruits and vegetables is the best way to loose weight, guaranteed, since they are relatively low in calories and chuck full of essential vitamins.
Drink your H20. Drinking enough water is the key to successful weight loss. Drink at least 64 oz of water a day (Eight 8 oz glasses of water). Regular water intake cleanses your system by flushing toxins out of the body and prevents your body from retaining water weight. Water can also make you feel full, stopping you from pigging out and only eating that which you are truly hungry for.
Regular exercise. You should do high intensity work outs 3 to 4 times a week, including at least 30 minutes of cardiovascular exercise along with weight training focusing on different muscle groups. In addition, involve yourself in a generally more active lifestyle. Walk up the stairs instead of taking the elevator, walk to the post office or mail box instead of drive, do sit ups during television commercials, etc. Look for ways to keep your body moving during the day, and your metabolism will rev up and burn fat like never before.
