Among the thousands of Christian homeschool resources available, here are a few top choices that I recommend.

A Beka

A Beka offers a  DVD or Internet Video stream home school option. Teachers from Pensacola Christian Academy give lessons to your child as your child works through the A Beka textbooks and materials.  A Beka also offers a parent directed program where parent teach the children directly out of A Beka Books.  The entire curriculum is Christian based, with textbooks geared for nursery school through 12th grade.  I used A Beka most while growing up and thoroughly enjoined the program.

Alpha Omega Publications

This publishing company actually offers 4 great and effective Christian home school curriculum choices to choose from.

Switch-On Schoolhouse – is a computer based interactive learning software with 3-D animation, video clips and other multimedia designed for grades 3-12.  Switch-On Schoolhouse software includes interactive Bible based lessons, assignments, quizzes, tests and grades on Bible, history and geography, language arts, math, science and various electives.

LIFEPAC- offers texts with a focus on mastery learning, or mastering content before moving on to new content.  Online lessons, activities, review questions and tests are included in the curriculum.  LIFEPAC covers Bible, history and geography, language arts, math, science along with many elective courses.  Bible passages are incorporated in the lessons to help the student connect their faith with their learning.

Horizons- focuses on the spiral learning method through introduction, review and reinforcement of material as the student works through textbooks with the guidance of a teacher parent. Horizons offers curriculum from Pre-K through grade 12.

The Weaver Curriculum- designed for families with single or multiple students, the curriculum provides a Bible theme for each day and then develops corresponding lessons for each student in each subject according to their grade level, from PreK-12th.  Subjects include Bible, social studies, science, geography and history, language arts, health and art.
